Hello,

If you're interested in joining ScapeGaming's Ventrilo, and chatting with users around the ScapeGaming Community, please use this guide to achieve that goal.

In short, Ventrilo is a voice communication program. It requires a microphone, but has built-in chat features, as well as other mechanisms.

Vent Information:

Hostname/IP: power.typefrag.com
Port #: 23369

Download and Install Ventrilo:

1.) You will first have to download Ventrilo. You may use the following links to accomplish this task:

- Ventrilo Download (Mirror 1)
- Ventrilo Download (Mirror 2)

2.) Now open it up and create a profile by clicking the highlighted button in the picture below:



3.) A new dialog should pop up automatically, once it does click the "New" button in that dialog.



4.) Type in the user name that you wish to be displayed in a vent server. Now, click "OK" and click "OK" again, and click the second highlighted button:



5.) Now a new dialog should pop up, and once it does, click the button "New" and type in a name you wish to have for the server you're connecting to:



6.) Now click "OK" and the dialog that popped up, type in the "Hostname/IP" and "Port #" which was given above. The other information is not necessary for WoWscape's Ventrilo.



7.) Now click "OK" to save and exit out of that dialog. Ultimately, click "Connect" and you have now officially connected to ScapeGaming's Ventrilo!

Too Normalize ventrilo so everyone sounds the same volume, including Spammers and Screamers, Follow this Guide. [note: You may still turn people up or down individually, but the screamers will still be low]

If you wish to see who is talking in vent Ingame while you are playing, download Voice Overlay. ( Voice overlay must be started BEFORE wow.)

Too set it up, open it. Then click options. For "Text Position" I use top dead center. "Output options" only select "show me speaking" and "show all", then in the bottom right, in "My name" put in exactly as your name will be in ventrilo. Hit OK. Then, above the Options button is a red circle. This is a button, push it.
